DaVinci's M27342 is the Frem 3-in-1. It is a full-size crib that the product page and manual document as converting to a toddler bed and daybed. Unlike the Frem M27301 4-in-1, the M27342 evidence reviewed here does not establish a full-size adult-bed conversion. That distinction matters more than the shared collection name: the two products have different model numbers, different dimensions and separate manuals. A buyer should not assume that an M27301 bed kit, rail or assembly step transfers to M27342 because both are called Frem.

The M27342 has an arched end panel, slender spindles and tapered legs. That is a style description from the manufacturer's page, not evidence of a safety or durability advantage. The manufacturer lists four mattress-support heights and a full-size crib mattress. The product description describes the frame as solid wood but does not give a component-level species breakdown in the evidence reviewed; the page separately carries the maker's GREENGUARD Gold certification claim. Listed dimensions and the actual width boundary

DaVinci gives the assembled M27342 as 54.5 inches long, 30.25 wide and 41 inches high, with an assembled weight of 66 pounds. The interior measurement is listed as 52 by 28 inches, the front rail as 35.2 inches from the floor, and the product page lists a 50-pound maximum weight and 135-pound slat strength. The finder compares only the 30.25-inch outside width. Since it takes half-inch ceilings, a 30-inch answer rejects the listed width and 30.5 inches is the first selectable width limit that includes it. Leave additional space for access, the room and eventual assembly or conversion; the comparison does not calculate clearance.

The M27342 manual requires a full-size mattress at least 27.25 by 51.625 inches, no more than six inches thick, and no more than three centimeters of gap at the side under the manual's check. The support must be lowered when a child can pull to standing; crib use stops when the child starts to climb out or reaches 35 inches tall. A low price or the manufacturer's “3-in-1” name would not change those setup boundaries. Check the model label and exact instructions for a specific unit, especially if parts have been replaced or the crib is used.

The two later arrangements require preparation

The M27342 conversion story is narrower than the M27301's: its documented path is from the crib to toddler bed and then daybed. The product page names toddler kit M19699 as sold separately, and the instruction manual shows the model-specific assembly sequence. No full-size adult-bed route appears in those sources. That does not mean a child must use every stage; it means the later arrangements shown here depend on the correct rail, intact hardware and manual rather than on the conversion count alone.

Mattress choices are presented on the manufacturer product page as add-ons, so the base crib record does not establish that a mattress arrives in the carton. A separate standard mattress still needs to meet the manual's dimensions and thickness. It is a poor match if the essential requirement is a full-size adult-bed conversion or wheels in the crib arrangement, since neither is established for this model. If an adult bed is part of the plan, examine Frem M27301 separately and confirm its extra hardware; if a narrower listed width is the first screen, Sofia M34501 is listed at 29.5 inches, but its style and kit path are distinct.
