Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does James fit a 54.5-inch maximum for a full-size crib frame?
Delta lists the assembled James W188130 frame at 54.5 inches wide. On the finder's half-inch grid, a 54-inch ceiling excludes it and 54.5 inches is the first passing ceiling. This is frame width only; room, doorway, access, delivery and conversion clearance need separate measurement.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the James base crib listing include the standard full-size mattress?
No. Delta says the standard-size mattress is sold separately. The linked booklet's fit limit is at least 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 inches and no more than 6 inches thick; those dimensions do not prove package inclusion.
Explore this need in the finder →Can James be a mini crib or bassinet start?
No mini-crib or bassinet arrangement is documented in the inspected W188130 product page, structured record or linked booklet. The named configurations are a full-size crib, toddler bed, daybed and sofa; the '6-in-1' page sentence does not identify a mini or bassinet build.
Explore this need in the finder →Does James document wheels in its full-size crib setup?
No. The inspected W188130 product page and linked manual describe stationary crib and later furniture arrangements, with no manufacturer-documented wheels in the full-size crib plan.
Explore this need in the finder →This is a source-based assessment of Delta Children’s James Acrylic W188130, not a hands-on review. I inspected the frozen U.S. crib-collection row, the exact manufacturer page and product data, the page-linked assembly booklet, and both exact-finish manufacturer images. I did not inspect a physical crib, its carton, the parts in a seller’s package, or an individual frame label.
One model family, two exact finish records
The captured Delta Children “Cribs” row is product 7510096150728, titled James Acrylic 4-in-1 Convertible Crib. The exact structured record lists Bianca White with Acorn W188130-1509 (variant 42550707847368, UPC 080213129828) and Midnight Grey with Acorn W188130-1510 (variant 42550707880136, UPC 080213129811). These are separate finish identities within one W188130 product record and linked manual family; the checked sources establish no functional or dimensional distinction between them. Keep the selected finish SKU and UPC with any offer or parts inquiry.
The title, structured data and booklet identify this as a four-arrangement crib system. One promotional paragraph on the same page calls it “6-in-1,” but the page’s detailed list and booklet name a crib, toddler bed, daybed and sofa. The isolated six-in-one wording does not substantiate two additional builds, so this assessment counts only those four named arrangements.
Measure the assembled frame, not just the nursery opening
Delta lists the crib at 54.5 inches wide, 35 inches high and 30.25 inches deep, with a product weight of 75.75 pounds. Its listed shipping dimensions are 56 by 35.25 by 6.5 inches and shipping weight is 85.75 pounds. These are maker specifications, not independent measurements. On this finder’s half-inch grid, a 54-inch maximum excludes James; 54.5 inches is the first selectable ceiling that admits it. That width is the assembled crib-frame dimension, not the doorway, delivery route, room clearance, assembly workspace or space needed to change modes.
For a size comparison within the assessed Delta library, Rhodes W201430 is also listed at 54.5 inches wide, while Sonny W190130 is listed at 54 inches. A shared dimension does not make frames or conversion parts interchangeable. Measure the space you will actually need, including access around the crib and the working area for later conversion.
Clear acrylic changes the visual choice, not the fit rules
The maker describes clear acrylic spindles on all four sides, with an Acorn-stained base and a painted frame. It names New Zealand pine and acrylic but does not assign each material to every structural component. The product page also attributes GREENGUARD Gold and JPMA/CPSC/ASTM claims to the crib; I did not independently test materials, emissions, construction or certification. The transparent sides give the photographed crib a more open look, but the room styling and pictured mattress are not part of a verified package. The booklet advises gentle finish care, including a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth and avoiding abrasive chemicals; scratch resistance or cleaning effort was not tested.
Plan for the separate mattress and the changing support height
Delta presents the standard-size crib mattress as a separate purchase. The linked booklet specifies a mattress at least 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 inches and no thicker than 6 inches. Those are fit limits, not evidence that a mattress comes in any particular retailer’s offer. A “standard size” label by itself is not a substitute for the manual’s minimum dimensions and maximum thickness.
The maker lists three mattress-support positions. The instructions describe the highest as a setting for a very small baby and require the front side to remain at least three inches above the mattress when both are in the highest position; if that clearance is not present, move down a position. When a child can pull to standing, the mattress support must be set to its lowest position. Stop using the crib when the child begins to climb out or reaches 35 inches tall, whichever comes first. Follow the warning text and instructions that match the actual crib label.
Four named arrangements are not four simultaneous beds
The product page and booklet document a full-size crib, a toddler bed, a daybed and a sofa. The booklet’s low-rail configuration is described as a daybed or loveseat sofa; it is one documented low-rail arrangement, not evidence of two different frames or an adult full-size-bed conversion. No adult-bed rails or adult-bed instructions were identified in the reviewed model sources.
Delta’s page says the Daybed/Sofa Rail and Toddler Rails are included, and the booklet identifies a conversion rail as part C (manual number 43286) and a toddler guard rail as part F (40881). This is useful package information from the maker, but I did not verify the contents of a physical box or a seller-specific offer. Compare the exact W188130 SKU, frame label, manual and parts list before relying on a rail being present. The booklet sets a minimum age of 15 months and maximum user weight of 50 pounds for the toddler-bed mode; those limits apply to that arrangement, not to the crib. Its full-size mattress fit limits also apply there. Do not treat a stage count as proof of safe use at a particular child’s age or size.
The linked instructions contain a revision and label check
The manufacturer page links one 48-page PDF. Its first cover is marked 43292 R1 and dated November 29, 2022; another section in the same PDF is marked 43292 R0 and dated June 9, 2022. The file includes the crib assembly and support instructions as well as the later-mode steps and warnings. The style, lot and date fields are blank on the booklet cover, which says to match its information with the label on the crib end. The particular revision or supplied booklet for any individual frame remains unverified. The instructions require adult assembly, ask that small parts be kept away from children until assembly is complete, and say mattress-support installation may require two people. I did not assemble or time the crib.
Who may want to compare James
James is worth considering when a documented full-size crib is the needed starting arrangement, 54.5 inches of listed frame width is acceptable, and clear acrylic sides are a deliberate design preference. It is not a match for an included-mattress requirement: Delta says the standard mattress is separate. The reviewed page and booklet do not document a mini, midi, bassinet, wheeled or adult-bed configuration. For another acrylic-forward crib in this library, compare the distinct Harlow Acrylic M8601 assessment; its dimensions, parts and manual are its own, not evidence about W188130.
The frozen U.S. collection capture supports a current-reference classification for this edition, not live stock or a seller’s package. A narrow SaferProducts.gov ProductName=W188130 query returned an empty JSON array; that single model-name search is not a complete recall review or safety clearance for a particular lot or unit. Check current official safety notices using the exact frame and product identifiers.
