A useful fit for

A standard full-size crib with four support-height positions and an included toddler rail for a later daybed arrangement, for a household that can fit the 53.5-by-29.75-inch frame and will confirm a separate compliant mattress.

The main tradeoff

The M9001 does not document bassinet, midi-crib, wheels or full-size-bed modes. The mattress is not part of the listed crib package, and the manual's 15-month/50-pound bed warning is not clearly assigned to each bed configuration.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the Babyletto Lolly M9001 provide a bassinet or midi-crib starting setup?

No bassinet or midi-crib arrangement is documented for the full-size M9001. Babyletto's linked M9001 manual shows the full-size crib, toddler-bed and daybed arrangements. If a smaller first sleep surface is essential, compare a specific model and manual that name that configuration instead of inferring it from the Lolly name.

Would the listed Lolly width fit a 29.5-inch product-width limit?

No. Babyletto lists the M9001 at 29.75 inches wide, so it exceeds a 29.5-inch maximum by one quarter inch. This is only the crib's listed product width; room access and nearby furniture require additional space.

Does the M9001 include a full-size crib mattress?

Babyletto presents its full-size mattress as a separate product add-on rather than part of the M9001 crib package. The manual requires a full-size mattress at least 51 5/8 by 27 1/4 inches, no more than 6 inches thick, and a side gap no greater than 3 cm when pushed firmly against the side. Confirm the exact retailer offer and the actual mattress fit.

Which later configurations are documented for the Lolly M9001 package?

Babyletto identifies a full-size crib, toddler bed and daybed, with a toddler conversion rail in the listed package. The separate previous-model table shows no full- or twin-size bed conversion for M9001. The stages need different assemblies; check the exact model label, parts and manual for an older or open-box crib.

Research-based assessment, not a hands-on test. Babyletto’s current Lolly M9001 listings describe a full-size crib with an included toddler-bed rail and a daybed arrangement. The practical case is specific: a familiar full-size footprint, four mattress heights and a three-setup conversion path, without a bassinet, midi-crib or full-size bed stage documented for this package.

One M9001 family across two retail listings

Babyletto lists the Lolly M9001 on a main and a retail-exclusive page. The first record contains six finishes; the exclusive record adds Taupe / Natural (M9001TPEN), Natural (M9001N) and Forest Green / Washed Natural (M9001FRGRNX). Both use model M9001, link the same manual and present the same dimensions and conversion path. The evidence supports one crib family across different finishes and channels, not two mechanisms. Check the full SKU suffix on an offer rather than relying on its color name alone.

Babyletto describes solid New Zealand pine, contrast spindles, rounded corners and tapered feet. These manufacturer descriptions are not an independent inspection; the style does not change mattress fit or safety requirements.

Understand the three arrangements

The current M9001 description names a full-size crib, toddler bed and daybed, and says the toddler conversion kit is included. Its instruction booklet identifies the M9001 and shows the crib assembly, a toddler-bed conversion and a separate daybed conversion. These are successive configurations that require reassembly; “3-in-1” does not mean three simultaneous sleep spaces.

The manufacturer’s previous-crib-model table also lists the M9001 Lolly with its toddler conversion included, while showing “N/A” in the full- or twin-size bed conversion column. No bassinet, midi-crib or full-size-bed configuration is documented for this full-size M9001. That distinction matters beside Babyletto’s All-Stages designs, whose earlier bassinet or midi setups are different configurations and may have different included parts. If your plan depends on a compact newborn arrangement or a later freestanding full-size bed, do not count those stages from the Lolly name alone.

Measure the actual footprint and mattress

Babyletto lists the assembled crib at 53.5 inches long by 29.75 inches wide by 35 inches high, with a 52-by-28-inch interior and an assembled weight of 53 pounds. Four mattress-support positions let the crib be set lower as the child grows. The manual says to use the lowest position once a child can pull to standing. Its listed front-rail-to-floor figure is also 35 inches; neither height is a measure of the space needed around the crib.

The 29.75-inch width is the number to compare with a measured doorway-side or room constraint, but not the full installation envelope. Include caregiver access, nearby furniture, delivery route and room to work when converting the frame. In this library, the Lolly is the same listed width as the Babyletto Hudson M4201 and a quarter-inch shorter in length; it is narrower than the 31-inch Swell M27901. Those are product dimensions only, not evidence that any crib will fit a particular room.

A full-size crib mattress is offered as a separate product add-on on Babyletto’s page; it is not identified as part of the M9001 package. Babyletto recommends a 52-by-27.75-inch mattress, while the manual requires at least 51 5/8 by 27 1/4 inches, no more than 6 inches thick, and no gap over 3 cm when the mattress is pushed firmly against a side. Use the exact M9001 instructions and check the actual mattress, including the gap and thickness; “standard size” by itself does not prove that a particular mattress fits.

Keep the safety instructions attached to the right setup

For crib mode, the M9001 manual says to stop use when the child begins to climb out or reaches 35 inches, lower the mattress once the child can pull to standing, and not use the crib if parts are missing, damaged or broken. Check and tighten fasteners. The product page gives a general 50-pound maximum without assigning it to each configuration. A final warning after the daybed-conversion instructions sets a 15-month minimum and 50-pound maximum for “this bed,” but does not name each bed mode separately. Do not transfer that warning to crib mode; follow the exact manual.

Babyletto describes sustainably sourced solid New Zealand pine and advertises GREENGUARD Gold and FSC certification; these remain manufacturer claims here. No independent emissions test, certification audit or assembly trial was performed. The manual warns against soft bedding and extra padding. The CPSC's safe-sleep guidance likewise says a crib should contain only a fitted sheet; follow it and the M9001 instructions rather than treating a conversion label as a safety assessment.

Who may shortlist it—and what to verify

The M9001 is worth comparing when a household wants a standard full-size crib, an included toddler rail and a documented daybed arrangement, and can plan for the 29.75-inch width plus access space. It is a poor evidence-based fit if bassinet or midi use, documented wheels, an included mattress or a full-size bed conversion are essential. The three-stage claim is not a promise that the crib remains usable through a particular age; follow the manual’s stop conditions and warnings.

Before buying, match the M9001 finish code, confirm that the package includes the toddler rail, and check whether the seller adds the mattress. For an open-box or used crib, inspect its label, frame, hardware and parts against the manual. CPSC's M9001 search was empty; “Lolly” matches were unrelated. Neither keyword search clears a specific lot or secondhand crib.
