What width ceiling includes the Mia mini crib?
Delta lists W105550 at 39 inches wide. A 38.5-inch ceiling excludes it and 39 inches is the first selectable half-inch ceiling that includes its frame; allow additional room and access space.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Mia have wheels in its mini-crib setup?
Delta says four wheels are included, and its linked Booklet A lists four casters. The reviewed sources do not establish wheel locks or movement with a child inside.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the Mia stay eligible when earlier models are excluded?
Yes. The frozen Delta Children crib collection classifies the observed W105550 row as current-reference, so it matches the current-only toggle without making a present-stock claim.
Explore this need in the finder →The Mia is Delta Children’s W105550 folding mini crib, captured in Bianca White with Natural, SKU W105550-123. This is a source-based assessment of Delta’s product page, product record and linked instructions; it does not reflect ownership, assembly, hands-on testing or physical measurement. The manufacturer page describes an included 1.5-inch mini mattress, two support positions, folding construction and four wheels. It documents one mini-crib setup, not a full-size crib conversion system.
“Mini” still needs a real room plan
Delta lists the assembled frame as 39 inches wide, 36.25 inches high and 25 inches deep. At the finder’s half-inch width settings, a 38.5-inch maximum excludes the frame and 39 inches is the first selectable ceiling that admits it. That is the crib’s outside dimension only. Leave additional room for safe access, the route through the home, furniture and assembly; the mini label does not answer those fit questions.
The same page lists folded dimensions of 39 by 6.25 by 36.25 inches. Folding is a storage or transport state, not a smaller sleep configuration, and the 39-inch side remains relevant when planning a closet or doorway. Delta lists a 33.1-pound product weight and a 39.75-pound shipping weight; those are separate manufacturer fields, not a carry test or an estimate of how easy it is to move the assembled crib. The official photo shows the W105550-123 Bianca White with Natural frame on casters, but it cannot establish dimensions, room clearance or package contents.
The supplied mini mattress is a meaningful package boundary
Delta’s exact product page describes a supplied 1.5-inch mini mattress and says it uses 24-by-38-inch sheets. That sheet specification is not a separately stated mattress measurement. The W105550-linked Booklet A directs the caregiver to use only the Delta-provided mattress and prohibits adding another mattress or soft padding. Its warning gives a minimum surface size of 37 by 23 inches and a maximum thickness of 6 inches. Do not infer that any mattress that fits a “mini crib” category can be substituted: the instructions and label for the physical crib control.
It is also important to separate a mini mattress from a standard full-size crib mattress. The Mia materials document the former, not an included full-size mattress. The exact page lists two support positions, with source text describing the upper and lower settings. The instructions say to lower the support when a child can pull to standing and to discontinue crib use when the child can climb out or reaches 35 inches tall. Those are the manufacturer’s stated stop conditions, not a personalized readiness recommendation.
Casters and folding are conveniences with limits
The product page says four wheels are included, and the linked Booklet A assembly section lists four “free casters.” The inspected material does not establish whether the wheels lock, or whether moving the crib while it is occupied is permitted. Treat the wheels as listed hardware, not proof that the product is a bassinet, stroller or safe travel crib. The booklet also says the full frame must be fully erected before use; follow the exact crib’s instructions and do not improvise a partially folded sleep setup.
The page calls the crib easy to fold for storage or transport. That is a different benefit from rolling it between rooms: folding requires a separate setup change, and the public product page does not say the folded crib is suitable for a vehicle or overnight travel. Check the folded envelope against the intended storage location and confirm the exact carton contains the listed components rather than relying on a styled photograph.
A mini-only choice, not a growth-stage promise
The reviewed W105550 product record and linked booklet show no bassinet, midi, full-size crib or later bed arrangement. Two mattress heights are adjustments within the mini crib; they are not two product stages. If the household needs a full-size crib later, the Mia does not meet that same-system requirement on the evidence reviewed here. A separate product may be needed, with its own frame, mattress and fit checks.
Against the separately assessed Delta Classic Mini 544550, the Mia’s 39-inch listed width is narrower than Classic’s 41.25-inch listing, while Classic’s page describes a thicker 2.75-inch mini mattress and a separate twin-bed route. Those are different package and stage paths, not interchangeable model details. Conversely, the Mia’s listed folding feature and casters are useful distinctions only if the specific storage and movement plan works; neither one guarantees future crib conversion.
Materials, claims and what remains to verify
Delta describes the W105550 as GREENGUARD Gold certified and JPMA certified, and names New Zealand pine, poplar and TSCA-compliant engineered wood. These are manufacturer statements reproduced from its product copy, not independent emissions testing or a materials analysis for this review. A narrow SaferProducts.gov search for the exact W105550 identifier returned an empty result; that does not clear a particular unit, lot, serial number, older used crib or future notice.
Before choosing it, confirm the full W105550 model and finish code on the seller’s offer, ask whether the box includes the maker-listed 1.5-inch mattress and four casters, compare both assembled and folded dimensions with the actual route and storage space, and keep the manual that corresponds to the crib’s label. The Mia is worth comparing when a mini-only sleep surface, an included mini mattress, a folding frame and casters all serve the plan. It is a poor match when a bassinet start, a later full-size crib stage, a standard full-size mattress in the box, a narrower-than-39-inch crib width or documented caster locks are essential.
