MYLLRA is the storage-focused option in this IKEA group, and that storage changes the fit calculation. The manufacturer lists an outside width of 31 1/8 inches, a 39 3/4-inch overall height and a large drawer under the full-size sleep surface. It is not the narrow solution for a tight alcove; it is the model to investigate when the specific drawer and a three-position mattress base are more useful than saving floor width.

Footprint and drawer

For article 804.835.89, IKEA lists a 54 3/8-inch length and 31 1/8-inch width, with a 27 1/2-by-52-inch mattress surface. The mattress and bed linen are sold separately. The drawer’s listed internal dimensions are 42 7/8 inches wide by 20 1/8 inches deep and its maximum load is 33 pounds; the crib’s separate maximum load is 50 pounds. Those are different limits. IKEA also lists only 2 3/4 inches of free height under the crib, so a storage box that works under another frame may not fit beneath this one.

The page describes a smooth-running under-crib drawer that closes softly. Treat it as a storage feature, not a second sleep surface or a structural crib extension. Measure what you actually intend to store, account for the drawer’s required pull-out path, and do not assume a product’s outer width includes the space needed to use the drawer beside a wall, rug or neighboring furniture.

Adjustments and open-side use

When the child can climb in and out, one side may be removed; the manufacturer says an included guard rail allows that open-side configuration to remain a sleep setup. Follow the exact AA-2200899-2 instructions, not an assumed conversion sequence taken from another IKEA crib.

The page lists fiberboard with a honeycomb-paper filling for the head and footboards, beech spindles and beech elements in the mattress-base frame. Drawer panels and other pieces use listed fiberboard or particleboard materials. This is a mixed-material design with practical storage, not an all-solid-wood description. IKEA’s current product listing arrives in three packages; plan a path for each carton and leave time to account for small fittings before assembly.

Where it differs from nearby choices

MYLLRA is wider than SNIGLAR, ÄLSKVÄRD, GULLIVER, GONATT and SMÅGÖRA in the manufacturer’s current published measurements. It also has the largest measured under-crib drawer among this specific group: GONATT offers a different lower drawer layout, while the simpler models have no drawer documented. That comparison is about listed dimensions and supplied functions, not durability or convenience in a particular home.

The mattress remains separate and the listed full-size width is the crib’s assembled dimension—not the access envelope. If the opening must be no wider than 31 inches, the matcher should not treat this 31 1/8-inch frame as a pass simply because the mattress itself is 27 1/2 inches wide. Assessment

MYLLRA’s case is the combination of three base positions, an included guard rail and an under-crib drawer with published internal dimensions and load limit. Its main tradeoff is an unusually broad frame for this subset, along with a shallow underframe gap and a storage path that needs room. The base offer does not establish an included mattress.
