A useful fit for

A conventional full-size crib with an included toddler rail, a daybed stage and rounded-spindle mid-century styling. The 31.75-inch listed outside width and engineered-wood/acacia veneer end panels are important fit and construction distinctions.

The main tradeoff

Peggy is among the wider reviewed full-size cribs and its base listing does not establish an included mattress. Its frame and end panels use different manufacturer-described materials. The reviewed listing and manual do not establish a bassinet, midi, mini, separate full-size bed or manufacturer-documented wheels.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does Peggy M15401 have a standard full-size crib arrangement?

Yes. Babyletto describes a standard-size crib; the Honey M15401HY listing gives an outside footprint of 54.25 by 31.75 by 36.5 inches.

Would Peggy pass a 32-inch maximum full-size width?

Yes. The listed outside width is 31.75 inches, so it passes at 32 inches on the finder's half-inch input grid; this is not a room-clearance guarantee.

Does its conversion system offer a full-size crib stage?

Yes. Peggy is itself the full-size crib setup and has later toddler-bed and daybed arrangements; Babyletto's conversion table lists no full/twin bed kit for M15401.

Is a full-size crib mattress part of the standard Peggy package?

No included mattress is established. Babyletto lists mattresses as add-ons; inspect the exact seller bundle if it claims to include one.

Research-based desk assessment, not a hands-on test. Babyletto Peggy M15401 is a standard full-size crib with a listed crib, toddler-bed and daybed route. Its rounded spindles and flared tapered legs give it a distinct mid-century look; its dimensions, mixed frame materials and high listed outside width make the more practical comparison less simple than the style suggests. The official listing says a toddler-bed conversion kit is included, but the mattress is a separate add-on.

One Peggy model family, two finish codes

The observed Babyletto record is product ID 731658485814. It lists Natural Walnut M15401NL and Honey M15401HY under the Peggy listing; the linked instructions are for the Peggy/M15401 family. The current page displays Honey dimensions and both finish selections. No variant-specific difference in function or dimensions appears in the captured listing, so the two colors are treated as finish variants rather than separate products. Availability fields in an archived product record are not a reliable statement of present stock.

Crib, toddler bed and daybed are not three simultaneous stages

The listing names three successive arrangements and says its toddler conversion kit is included. Babyletto's older-model conversion table also shows the M15401 Peggy with the toddler kit included and “N/A” in the full/twin-bed column. The M15401 instruction booklet provides separate conversion steps, so the daybed should not be described as a freestanding full or twin bed. The sources reviewed here do not document a bassinet, midi crib, mini crib, full-size bed kit or manufacturer-documented wheels for this model.

Construction and the wider footprint are important tradeoffs

Babyletto describes the frame as sustainably sourced solid New Zealand pine and the end panels as acacia-veneered, TSCA-compliant engineered wood. That is a meaningful materials distinction from a crib described as entirely solid pine. It remains manufacturer-reported construction; this assessment did not inspect the material, verify sourcing or independently test emissions. The manufacturer also claims GREENGUARD Gold certification. The visual sources show the rounded spindles and tapered legs but do not establish feel, finish durability or assembly quality.

For the displayed Honey SKU, M15401HY, Babyletto lists assembled dimensions of 54.25 inches long by 31.75 inches wide by 36.5 inches high, 80 pounds assembled, 52 by 28 inches inside, a 36.5-inch front-rail height and 135-pound slat strength. Its 31.75-inch width is the widest full-size product dimension among the current reviewed Babyletto set. Because the public control moves in half-inch increments, Peggy first passes at a 32-inch maximum, not at 31.75. That is an outside-product-width comparison only; allow for room access, furniture, delivery and the space needed to reconfigure the crib. The slat-strength figure is not an occupant-weight recommendation.

Mattress fit and stop-use directions stay model-specific

Babyletto recommends a 52-by-27.75-inch standard crib mattress and presents a crib mattress as an add-on. The product package therefore does not establish an included full-size mattress. The M15401 manual sets a minimum mattress size of 51 5/8 by 27 1/4 inches, a maximum thickness of 6 inches, and a maximum side gap of 3 cm when the mattress is pushed into the corner. Those manual measurements should govern; check the exact mattress label and the complete crib instructions rather than relying on a seller's “standard size” phrase.

The manual says to lower the mattress support when a child can pull to standing and stop using the crib when the child begins to climb out or reaches 35 inches. It calls for checking the parts and fasteners, and its assembly material notes that two people are needed and a Phillips screwdriver is not included. Separate conversion instructions include a 15-month minimum-age and 50-pound maximum-weight statement for “this bed”; the listing also shows 50 pounds generally without assigning that value to every mode. Keep that language attached to the conversion-bed warning and use the exact M15401 instructions for the crib or toddler setup. No assembly, fit or safety test was conducted for this desk assessment.

Where Peggy fits in a comparison

Peggy is a reasonable candidate to compare when the mid-century spindle-and-leg design, included toddler rail and documented daybed path matter more than a narrow footprint. For a room-width constraint, it should be compared against shorter listed widths such as the 29.75-inch Hudson, Lolly, Rolli and Bondi Cane measurements or the 30.25-inch Scoot—not assumed to fit because it is labelled standard size. Those are product dimensions, not installation clearances. It is also not an All-Stages system: the current model sources do not support a bassinet or midi stage.

Before ordering, match the M15401 label and finish code, check that the exact offer includes the toddler rail and required fasteners, and determine whether a retailer bundle changes the mattress package. For a used or open-box unit, inspect the model label, all rails, hardware and instruction revision. The CPSC query for product name M15401 returned no records; that keyword result does not clear an individual lot or used crib. Follow the booklet and the CPSC's safe-sleep guidance. No personal ownership, hands-on assembly, product testing or customer-experience claim is made.
