A useful fit for

A plausible fit for someone who wants the included bassinet-to-midi-to-full-size conversion sequence, can plan around a 54-by-31-inch full-size crib footprint, and prefers the conversion components to be part of one documented package.

The main tradeoff

The all-in-one stage count still means substantial reconfiguration and several distinct sleep surfaces; the standard crib mattress is separate, and the listing does not provide assembled bassinet or midi footprints in the sources reviewed.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can Pogo begin as a bassinet and later become a standard crib?

Yes. The M29880 listing and manuals document a bassinet and full-size crib in the same conversion system. Its eventual listed crib footprint is 54 by 31 inches; the small first setup does not replace that room-fit check.

Are Pogo’s midi parts included?

The product page says the All-Stages conversion kits are included. The master manual identifies a custom two-inch midi pad; check the exact box contents and do not treat that pad as the standard full-size crib mattress.

Does the Pogo package include the full-size crib mattress?

No. The standard full-size mattress is separate. The M29880 instructions call for a full-size crib mattress at least 51 5/8 by 27 1/4 inches and no more than six inches thick.

Are wheels documented for Pogo’s midi crib?

The reviewed product page and M29880 instructions document removable locking casters for the bassinet setup, but do not establish wheels for midi or full-size crib use. Treat the answer for midi as unconfirmed, not as a portable setup.

The Pogo M29880 is an eight-arrangement All-Stages crib with a useful package distinction: Babyletto says all conversion kits are included, unlike several related systems whose midi stages require an extra kit. The sequence covers a bassinet, three midi setups and four full-size arrangements. That is meaningful if you want one coordinated system with intermediate stages, but it is still furniture that must be reconfigured—not a crib that expands while assembled. This is a source-based assessment of Babyletto’s product information and instructions, not a hands-on review.

Eight setups, with the midi pieces in the stated package

The M29880 supports bassinet, midi crib, midi toddler bed, midi daybed, full-size crib, full-size toddler bed, full-size daybed and junior bed configurations. Babyletto’s listing says the bassinet-to-midi-to-standard-crib conversion kits are included. The master manual and two linked stage-specific manuals give separate assembly instructions for the bassinet and crib/bed conversions. An included kit does not mean every mode remains assembled or that every surface is in the box: the full-size mattress is still a separate purchase, while the bassinet and midi stages use their own manufacturer pads.

The design’s standout practical contrast with the Rolli and Palma is not just that more of the advertised stages are included. Pogo’s full-size width is listed at 31 inches; Rolli is listed at 29.75 inches. Palma’s product text says 30 inches, while its exact-model dimension graphic says 31, so we use 31 as the cautious planning value. Pogo’s rounded spindles and curved corners also give it a softer outline than Rolli’s squared rails or Palma’s tapered furniture legs. Those are observable differences; they do not predict assembly difficulty, durability or how it will look in a particular room.

Plan for a fairly large eventual crib

Babyletto’s M29880 dimension graphic identifies the bassinet at 30 by 19.5 by 31.25 inches, the midi crib at 37.75 by 31 by 35.25 inches, and the full-size crib at 54 by 31 by 35.25 inches. The listing’s full-size figure is also 54 by 31 by 35.25 inches. The interior full-size measurement is 52 by 28 inches and listed assembled weight is 75.1 pounds. Use the dimensions for the setup you will assemble, while allowing extra space for access, conversion and the route into the room.

Do not substitute one stage’s sleep surface for another

The full-size crib mattress is sold separately. The M29880 crib warning requires a mattress at least 51⅝ inches by 27¼ inches and no more than six inches thick. Babyletto’s M29880 manuals identify a one-inch bassinet pad and a custom two-inch midi pad; the master manual’s midi warning calls for the manufacturer-provided sleep surface, minimum 35.75 by 28 inches, no more than four inches thick, with no gap larger than one inch. Babyletto also presents a separate four-inch midi mattress as an option, but that does not make the full-size crib mattress interchangeable with the smaller-stage surface. Verify the exact supplied parts and follow the matching instructions, particularly for an open-box unit.

Babyletto describes two mattress-height positions and configurations in each size, but that feature should not be confused with a single mattress or frame that automatically changes size. Each arrangement has its own assembly steps and warnings. Keep the parts, fasteners and manuals organized if you intend to use more than one configuration.

Casters are documented for the bassinet, not all eight modes

The linked bassinet instructions document removable locking casters for that small setup. The product material and instructions I reviewed do not establish wheels for the midi crib or full-size crib. That distinction is useful because the wider stage footprint, fixed furniture frame and mode-specific assembly make “portable” an imprecise shorthand. If moving the crib is essential, confirm which exact configuration and caster instructions Babyletto supports; do not treat bassinet wheels as proof that every conversion rolls.

Follow the manual’s cutoffs, stage by stage

The M29880 bassinet warning sets a 17.5-pound maximum and requires earlier discontinuation if the child can roll, sit, stand or kneel, or begins pushing up on hands and knees. The crib warning says to stop crib use when the child begins climbing out or reaches 35 inches in height. The junior-bed warning states a minimum intended age of 15 months and maximum weight of 50 pounds. Those instructions apply to different configurations and should not be collapsed into a general “birth to age five” claim. Read the entire warning section for the setup being used.

Who should consider the Pogo?

The Pogo may suit a household that wants to buy the conversion system once, values having all listed bassinet, midi and full-size parts included, and has room for the 54-by-31-inch crib it eventually becomes. Its stage sequence gives more documented options than a basic convertible crib, and the finished frame uses New Zealand pine according to the manufacturer. Babyletto also claims GREENGUARD Gold certification; these are manufacturer statements rather than independent material testing or safety findings in this assessment.

It is a weaker fit if you need a narrow full-size crib, want verified measurements for every interim setup before deciding, or are choosing it because you assume casters make the whole system mobile. The 75.1-pound listed assembled weight, several different sleep surfaces and the need to rebuild between modes all call for planning. This review did not assemble, move or load-test the Pogo. A Pogo keyword search of CPSC recall data returned unrelated Pogo-stick and other records rather than a crib-specific result; a name search is not proof that a particular used unit or production lot is cleared.

Check the M29880 label and package

Babyletto lists Blonde (M29880BD), Honey (M29880HY), Natural Walnut (M29880NL) and Olive (M29880OL). Match the exact SKU to the instructions and confirm the seller’s included pads, rails and hardware. The primary checks are the official M29880 listing, master manual, bassinet instructions and crib and bed conversion instructions. Availability, retailer package contents, current prices and return terms were not evaluated.
