A useful fit for

A full-size crib shopper who wants a maker-documented crib-to-toddler-bed/daybed/sofa path and can plan around the 54.5-inch listed width, a separately purchased standard mattress, and model-specific conversion hardware.

The main tradeoff

Rhodes has no documented mini, midi, bassinet, wheels or adult full-size bed mode. Its mattress and W100725 toddler guardrail are separate. The manual identifies additional conversion rails and directs users to match the frame label, so a used or open-box 4-in-1 set should not be assumed complete; the Teak Brown and Acorn records are separate finish listings marked unavailable at capture.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does Rhodes W201430 fit a 54.5-inch full-size crib width ceiling?

Delta lists the W201430 frame as 54.5 inches wide, so it reaches the finder at a 54.5-inch ceiling and fails at 54 inches. That is the crib's listed dimension only, not room, doorway or conversion clearance; measure those separately.

Does the Rhodes crib offer include a standard full-size mattress?

No. Delta says the standard-size crib mattress is sold separately. The linked W201430 booklet lists minimum dimensions of 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 inches and a maximum thickness of 6 inches; these are fit limits, not evidence that a seller's bundle includes a mattress.

What exact parts and limits apply to the Rhodes toddler-bed conversion?

The W201430 booklet says this crib uses toddler guardrail style W100725, and its toddler-bed steps also call for conversion rail H/44984 and filler rail C/44980. Delta identifies W100725 as separate. The manual sets a 15-month minimum and 50-pound maximum for toddler-bed use. Match the frame-end label to the supplied instructions and verify each required part before assembly.

This is a source-based, not hands-on, assessment of Delta Children Rhodes W201430. The current U.S. Cribs collection identifies Bianca White W201430-130; separate Teak Brown W201430-1526 and Acorn W201430-755 records have different SKUs, UPCs and variant IDs but the same documented frame dimensions and four arrangements. They are treated as finish variants in one review. Delta marked the two older finish records unavailable in captured data; that does not establish today's stock elsewhere.

Four stages, one full-size frame

Delta describes Rhodes as a full-size crib that converts to a toddler bed, daybed or sofa. These are sequential arrangements of the same frame: a configuration count is not four simultaneous sleeping surfaces. The sources inspected do not establish a bassinet, mini or midi crib, wheels, or an adult full-size-bed kit. If an adult-bed conversion is essential, do not infer one from the “4-in-1” label.

Its visual signature is gently curved waterfall-style solid end panels, round spindles and block feet—more visually closed than an all-slat crib, but not a proven performance advantage. The official images show each named finish; staged rooms, bedding, mattresses and award graphics do not establish carton contents. Delta names New Zealand pine, poplar and composite wood and describes the crib as GREENGUARD Gold and JPMA certified. These are maker statements, not independent testing here.

Read the 54.5-inch width as a product dimension

Delta labels the assembled Rhodes 54.5 inches wide by 35.75 inches high by 30.75 inches deep, and lists its weight as 96.14 pounds. The current Bianca White page and the separate Teak Brown/Acorn record give the same dimensions. The maker's “width” is the value used in the finder: Rhodes passes a 54.5-inch product-width ceiling and fails at 54 inches, the next lower half-inch choice. That is a screening comparison, not a room-fit verdict. It does not include the space to bring the carton through a doorway, assemble the frame, reach around it or later reconfigure it. Draw the installed footprint and measure the entire access path separately.

Delta Aerin W201130 is listed at 54.75 inches wide, just 0.25 inch more than Rhodes, but that label alone cannot predict room fit. The models also use different instructions and conversion-part IDs: never substitute one crib's manual or rails for another's.

Mattress and support rules

The standard full-size crib mattress is sold separately. The W201430-linked Booklet A specifies a mattress at least 27 1/4 by 51 5/8 inches and no more than 6 inches thick. Those are fit limits for the sleeping surface, not proof that a seller's bundle includes one. Confirm the actual mattress against the frame manual; a pad or different-sized infant sleep surface is not a substitute for the documented full-size mattress.

Delta lists three support positions. The manual says to lower the support to its lowest setting when the child can pull to standing. At the highest setting, the front crib side must remain at least three inches above the mattress; otherwise lower it. Stop crib use when the child starts climbing out or reaches 35 inches, whichever comes first. Keep these model instructions with the frame.

Conversion parts are model-specific

The manual says W201430 uses toddler guardrail style W100725, sold separately; Delta's accessory page warns it does not fit every crib. The toddler-bed steps also name Conversion Rail H/44984 and Filler Rail C/44980. The product page describes the daybed/sofa rail as included, and the crib manual's parts list names H plus two filler rails. Still verify the frame-end style/lot label, matching booklet and actual rail, filler and guardrail parts, especially for used or open-box purchases.

The manual gives toddler-bed use a minimum age of 15 months and maximum user weight of 50 pounds. It cautions about entrapment and requires the correct conversion pieces. Keep that separate from the crib's own stop conditions and from an adult bed. For a used or open-box offer, check for damage, missing hardware and fasteners, and do not substitute parts or borrow another model's instructions. The exact carton and any seller bundle were not physically inspected.

Manual, recall-screen and offer checks

Delta links a W201430-130/lot QW23543 Booklet A (R1, June 19, 2024) and 44986-W201430(A) (R0, February 23, 2024); both tell readers to match instructions to the crib-end label. A narrow SaferProducts.gov “Rhodes” query was empty, but does not clear a unit, lot, serial number or used-item history. Verify the actual label, parts, instructions and condition; maker certification and material claims are not independent safety findings.

Who should compare Rhodes?

Rhodes is a documented candidate for someone seeking a full-size crib, three support heights and a later toddler/daybed/sofa path, and who can plan around its 54.5-inch listed width. It is a poor fit for required mini, midi or bassinet modes, wheels, an included mattress or adult-bed conversion. Plan separately for the mattress and W100725 guardrail, and confirm H/44984 and C/44980 parts.

The current collection's exact finish is Bianca White W201430-130. Teak Brown W201430-1526 and Acorn W201430-755 are separately documented finish records, not proof of current stock. Before buying any finish or used frame, verify the seller's SKU, the frame-end style/lot label, mattress size, instructions, rails, fasteners, delivery/return terms and package contents. This assessment describes published evidence; it does not report personal assembly, testing, ownership or measurements.
